The cloud can be displayed alphabetically, by frequency or by first occurance. In alphabetical mode, the words are sorted alphabetically. In frequency mode, the words are sorted based on their frequency. In first occurance mode, the words are sorted based on their position of first occurance in the page.

The font size of each keyword in the keyword cloud is based on the frequency of that word in the page. So, words with higher frequency appear larger than those with lower frequency. The font size, is hence, interpolated based on the frequency. However, this interpolation can be either linear or logarithmic.
